Will This Finally Be Leo's Turn For An Oscar?

Leonardo Dicaprio in my opinion is one of the greatest actors of his generation. Yes he has made some not so great movies, (I'm talking about the Man In the Iron Mask Leo, what were you thinking?) But recently he has proven again and again that he is an actor with amazing talent. The Academy has sure noticed this. Lets see, he has been nominated for What's Eating Gilbert Grape (one of the best movies of his career ever, rent it and tell me otherwise) The Aviator, and Blood Diamond. But it is recently that Leo has made some of the smartest (and dare I say brave) movie choices of his career. I'm talking about Shutter Island, The Departed, Revolutionary Road and especially his latest release, Inception. Martin Scorsese thinks so as the brilliant director has claimed Leo is his new muse with a total of four movies they have collaborated on. But to me nothing compares to his role in Inception as the brains behind the mission of going inside peoples minds and implanting a memory that is not real. The movie touches on so many levels and Leo proves he has the acting gene to carry this movie off. Not only critically but financially as well with Inception becoming one of the highest grossing movies of 2010. He has shyed away from using his looks to lure the viewer (I'm talking about the craptastic Titanic) and entered territory that has established him as a real actor among the best in the game. Inception to me is one movie that stayed with me long after the final credits rolled and with not giving anything away feels that it is one of the best movies I have every seen. Leo along with the rest of the cast delivered big time and feel that they should be rewarded for their efforts. To me it could be fourth time lucky for Leo if the Academy do not recognise him for his work I will start to write abusive letters to them. And I am not the only one as I know his fans and movie public feel the same way. Inception has all the ingredients to prove to the academy that he deserves this award. I can not name one other actor this year who has challenged themselves in a part like Leo did in Inception (and correct me if I am wrong but I really can't think of anyone). So come this award season will we see Leo finally receive the award that he is destined for? If I was voting I would be ticking the box in his category for Best Actor I definitely would take this award vote more seriously than our last election, am I right Australian public?
