There Are Some Movies In This World You Just Don't Remake

There are certain things one does not do in this world. Wear socks with sandals. Eat with your mouth open. Or remake classic movies. I am directing this to you Hollywood who is ready to start shooting the remake of "Footloose" (I think I just broke a wall with my fist upon hearing this). This is just the worst thing that could possibly happen to modern cinema. There is nothing wrong with the old one. It is a classic. Hear me a CLASSIC!!!. All the elements were right the first time and nothing can change that. Look at what happened to Fame. It sunk a bad death at the box office. Psycho was a complete waste of time and the new Nightmare on Elm Street was just plain bad (what was with the new Freddy's face?). Footloose is a classic. A piece of the 80's that will be forever remembered for the crazy dancing, the bad clothes and the outrageous plot (a town where no one is allowed to dance, its a bit far fetched but knowing America I wouldn't be suprised). The remake has had its bad luck already (maybe it is cursed hope so). Zac Efron was meant to be the lead but pulled out. Kenny Ortega who directed all the High School Musicals as well as the Michael Jackson documentary This Is It also left the project. Then it was passed onto Chace Crawford (of Gossip Girl fame) who later left the project due to scheduling conflicts (or he just came to his senses and realised this was the worst idea ever). Now it is with an unknown and seriously I will not be seeing this movie. You do not recreate this movie. The End. Enough Said. Please listen to the people. Do not let the boy dance. This is one town know one needs to experience again. Let it go.
