The Toys Were Defintely Back In Town This Year

I just had to give everyone the best news. Toy Story 3 has just made over a $1 Billion at the box office worldwide making it Pixar's greatest achievement. For anyone who hasn't seen it, what have you been doing living under a rock? Go see it now, if it is still playing. The voice work, the introduction of new characters (and there are a heap of them) the visuals, and I must say the most emotional story I have sobbed away to since Beaches (don't judge you all have a soft spot for that movie). Ken (voiced by Michael Keaton) is worth the ticket price alone. If you don't know the story it goes a little something like this. Woody and Buzz are owned by Andy who after his childhood with the toys has grown up and is heading to college. The toys are mistakenly put in a bag that has landed them in the local daycare centre. The toys realise that Andy has long but forgotten them, but one toy Woody, believes that Andy would never give them up and it is up to the gang to break free of the daycare centre and get back to their owner by any means necessary. I have to admit this movie was fantastic. I'm not going to give my review, but it is up there as my favourite this year and on repeat viewing when it comes to DVD will definitely be in my top ten favourites. Everything about this movie worked, and if you don't come out of the cinema sniffling then I think you should visit the great and powerful Oz and ask him for a heart. But I'm not the only one who thought that as millions of views have earned this movie the greatest success for Pixar. And why wouldn't it. They struck gold twice before with the franchise and have ended their trilogy on a high. I feel this movie couldn't have ended any better way. Congrats Pixar you sure earned it.
