I Hope You Deliver This Time Shyamalan

Remember where you were when you were awe strucked at the ending of the Sixth Sense (Bruce Willis dead the whole time, come on you so didn't know that happened). That movie gripped you right till the end and transformed Bruce Willis back into the mainstream and made audiences sit up and take note of a director and writer who may be the next Hitchcock. M.Night Shyamalan is his name. But something happened. He started to lose his way. Yes there were a few impressive ones, (Signs, Unbreakable) but nothing that really captured audiences attention. And the poor guy then went on to make the mistake of making audiences endure some of the worst films every produced. I'm talking about Lady In The Water and especially The Happening (trees making everyone go psycho and start killing each other, yeah great story there Shyamalan). Okay, now I might have been turned off his movies, and his name on top of a movie does not necessarily catch my interest, but the new movie which he wrote, called "Devil" has certainly won me over with the trailer. The concept of the story is that five people are in an office building when they all decide to catch the elevator. When all are in the elevator and it starts on its journey all of a sudden the cables come to a complete stop. What they don't know is that one of them is actually doing this on purpose and is starting to turn them all against each other because one of them is (da da daaaaaaaaa) the DEVIL. Okay it may sound stupid, but seriously youtube the trailer it is creepy and maybe the dude is a better writer than directer. Trust me he has taken one of my biggest fears of being trapped in an elevator and put the master of evil inside of it. I for one will be checking this devilishly looking movie out. Devil opens 2 December (Australia).
