Kick-Ass Is About To Well, Kick-Ass Once Again
At the start of the year a little movie came out with a lot of buzz behind it. It was going to switch up the way we looked at superheros. This hero wasn't bitten by a radioactive spider, or born a mutant he actually had no powers at all. But he was inspired by his comic book hero's to go out in the world and make it a better place. He bought a costume on ebay and from there became KICK-ASS. Kick-Ass played by Aaron Johnson became an icon in the superhero world. It was critically hailed, but for some reason it didn't exactly light the box-office on fire. So why then has it been giving the go-ahead to have a sequel? I'll tell you. When it was released on DVD the movie, due to word of mouth, has became a cult classic. Not only did it have witty one-liners and some cool action scenes, but a young actress by the name of Chloe Moretz a.k.a Hit Girl became the favourite. With her bad ass moves and her foul mouth (trust me you haven't heard this much swearing unless you were a sailor) Hit-Girl stole the show (and the reason I started to enjoy this movie). I have to admit I was not taken by this movie. I mean I love my independent films, and superheros but I found Kick-Ass very boring. It was not until Nic Cage and Chloe showed up that the movie got its second wind for me. So now onto the sequel. It has been buzzing that it will be released in 2012 and will be called Kick-Ass:Balls To The Wall. It has been confirmed that both Chloe and Andrew are on board as well as director Matthew Vaughn. Matthew is currently working on the new X-Men prequel so hopefully this will start after that. So get ready boys and girls to once again root for the underdog and his foul mouthed sidekick.
