What If Mysterious Forces Were Controlling Our Life's Path?

Matt Damon has been picking some real interesting roles of late. When he is not being Jason Bourne and showing the new breed of secret agent, Matt has been seen in some different film roles. In the coming months he will star in Hereafter (already blogged about, check out previous entries for the rundown on that movie) and next year will bring a very different kind of thriller to the screens. What if our lives are already planned out and whenever we start to veer off course, mysterious forces or groups of people come along to place us on our predetermined path? Well that is the new synopsis of Matt Damon's new movie. In  "The Adjustment Bureau" Matt Damon stars as David a New York Politician who meets a ballerina by the name of Elise (Emily Blunt, finally a role that she might be able to prove that she is a talented actress) and falls for her. But Elise is not on his path in life and the bureau do what they do and place him back on the same path. However, David encounters her again and believes they already met, and realises something is going on here. Based on a short story by sci-fi legend Phillip K. Dick (Total Recall, Minority Report) this movie looks unlike your normal thrillers. Matt Damon looks like he may be able to pull of sci-fi thriller well and Emily Blunt is great in anything she does. Also staring John Slattery (Mad Men) and Terrance Stamp (Priscilla Queen of the Desert) this movie looks like Matt Damon might have another hit on his hands. The Adjustment Bureau opens March 2011 (Australia).
