Two Co-Stars Try Again For Love And This Time He Isn't Lusting After A Cowboy

Remember Brokeback Mountain the movie that made lovers out of its two male leads and brought the love of two cowboys out in the open? The movie where (in my opinion) the women of the movie stole the show more than the men? In that movie Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway played husband and wife coping with this circumstance in their relationship. But it appears there is no cowboys in this movie, or no long winded Ang Lee screenplay but just plain old fashioned man falling for woman love story(well from the brief this is the story, but you never know one of them could fall for the same-sex I'm just saying). Once again these two are teaming up for a new movie titled "Love and Other Drugs" directed by Edward Zwick (Blood Diamond, Legends of the Fall). Hathaway plays Maggie a woman who wants everything in her life and will let nothing get in her way to achieve this. Then one day she meets Jaime who makes her crave the one drug she can't resist (can you guess what it is?) Yes it's LOVE. I know I know sounds a little cheesy in my books as well. Isn't every romantic movie about finding love? But I must admit I love Ms Hathaway. From her performance as Andy in The Devil Wears Prada to her gritty performance in the fantastic (and definitely under rated) movie Rachel Getting Married, Hathaway can handle any challenge in her movie roles (and is starting to become a great performer, just look beyond Princess Diaries and you will see what I am talking about). Gyllenhaal on the other hand has never caught my interest. I feel his career was going strong after Donnie Darko but of late his is not really impressing (and I think his sister is the more talented one, I'm just saying) I have to admit I probably will see this movie, but don't get me wrong, I might need some drugs to stop me falling alseep if they can't bring something new and original to the genre. Love And Other Drugs opens 26 December (Australia)
