Not Another Remake. But The Brand Will Definitely Be Able To Save This One

I have to admit I am a huge fan of the the Brand. I am talking about the one and only Russell Brand. Russell was already a bit of a comic genius in his hometown of the UK, but it wasn't until he came out of nowhere and stole the show in Forgetting Sarah Marshall as Aldous Snow the crazy rocker from the UK that he really hit a new bunch of fans. You ask anyone what they remember about that movie and I bet Russell pops into their head first. And it wasn't only his newcomers who took notice, the studios new they had a new comedy pro who could make fans love him once more as Aldous as the greenlit his own movie earlier this year titled Get Him To The Greek. But I'm not here to talk about a movie that has already been released but wanted you to know about Russell bringing a classic 80's comedy and doing his Russell thing in the remake. The movie I am talking about is "Arthur." In the original 1981 film staring Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli, Dudley played Arthur who must fall in love with the woman his family have already assigned to marry him in order to secure his huge inheritance. However, he falls for the free spirited Linda (Liza). Does he lose the money or lose the girl? Well, it's now 2011 (that's when it's coming out I haven't jumped ahead in time, I don't have a Delorian) and now they are remaking it. This time though the movie will star Dame Helen Mirren (what can't this lady do) as his trustee butler and confidant. Jennifer Garner as the girl he is meant to marry. Greta Gerwig as Linda and Nick Nolte. Russell will definitely be able to pull this off. The man is a very clever comedian. I for one will be wanting to see Rusell. But word of advice Russell. Stick to this kind of comedy and never ever again please do a role like you did in Bedtime Stories (painfully awful) Bring on Arthur I say.
