The Na'vi People Are Back As Avatar 2 Has A Release Date

Hold onto your hats people, as the buzz is Avatar 2 will be going ahead. Cameron is back on board with the task of taking us on a wild ride once again. But when are we going to be seeing it? It has been rumoured to hit the silver screen in 2014. I know thats four years away, but we had to wait 14 for the first, I don't see it as a problem to wait. But will it be any good? Or will it just be a franchise that will start off good and end up being remembered as something great that could have been (I'm looking at you Matrix dudes)? Lets look at past Cameron sequels. Terminator was a brillant sci-fi movie with scares and action aplenty. Then comes along Terminator 2 which blows,in a word, the shit out of the first one. How many people have always thought the second one was an absolute improvement on the first? I for one do. And lets not forget what he did for the "Alien" franchise. Alien as it may, was a great sci-fi (a little slow for my likeing) but did show what can happen in a small spacecraft when a not so warm fuzzy alien (sorry this isn't ET) shows up and destroys a whole crew. Cameron changed the direction of this movie, and turned the sequel into an action packed adventure, which brought on the scares and made Sigourney Weaver one bad ass heroin (if you notice Cameron likes to write strong female characters who seem to always become legends in film, Sarah Connor, Ripley and even Neytiri). So I think he knows what he is doing. I think the man will be able to deliver a new way for this franchise to go. All we have to do now is wait and see what the man has up his creative sleeve.
