A bunch of animated movies have come out in 2010. We have had sequels (Shrek Forever After and the amazing fantastic can't say enough good things about Toy Story 3). We have seen new characters come to life and make us laugh (Despicable Me, How to train your dragon). And now it's Diney's turn (without the addition of the Pixar the best animated company in the world) to add characters to the mix with their new take on a old fairytale. But this one is not involving giant orges. Get ready for "Tangled." We all know the fairytale of Repunzel, who is locked in a tower and only a prince can come and rescue her as she has been given locks of long hair for him to climb up the tower. Well Disney has made a bit of a difference to the story. Instead of a Prince, it is now a thief who stumbles upon the tower and encounters the wrath of Repunzel. It is there she finally has human contact after being locked in a tower for many years. Sparks soon fly between them, but she must venture out to meet her true love after he leaves. Like all animated movies we have our main characters voiced by recognisable actors. Pop singer (Candy one of the best song's of the 90's) turned actor Mandy Moore will voice Repunzel, while "Chuck" actor Zachary Levi will play Flynn. Also rounding out the cast will be Everybody Loves Raymond's Brad Garrett, Arrested Developments Jeffrey Tambor and Donna Murphy (Spider-Man 2, The Nanny Diaries). I haven't been sold on the previews of this film, but reviews have been very positive over in the States, so maybe I will have to check this one out when Repunzel lets down her hair in January 2011(Australia).
